Mrs Post's Ballgown

$4,950.00

Mrs. Post, a socialite, philanthropist, and owner of General Foods, was known as the wealthiest woman in the United States. She attended Mount Vernon College, my Alma Mater, too.

Holly was Chair of the Centennial “Paradise Ball” for the Salvation Army of Palm Beach.  She knew her dress would have to be exceptional for the White-tie event she planned at Mar a Lago, Mrs. Post’s home in Palm Beach.

She worked with Maria Pucci to design the classic sweetheart neckline, always perfect for wearing glamorous jewelry. The capped sleeves added refinement and complemented her white opera-length gloves. In delicate pink and gold, the elegant French brocade is cut to thoughtfully drape the figure for the most flattering fit. The invisible back zipper, an elegant train, and a bespoke large signature “Holly bow” grace the back of this exceptional ballgown. The train adds an aura of sophisticated splendor to this RSVP-ready piece.
